Skidfin Principal Nelson Holmberg is known in hydroplane racing circles as "Skidfinguy", and he loves all kinds of motorsports.

Nelson’s practical experience in motorsports includes public relations and crew work on three different unlimited hydroplane racing teams, officiating in H1 Unlimited; ownership and racing a C-class outboard hydroplane; and leadership, strategic services, public relations and administration of Electric Radio Controlled Unlimiteds (ERCU).

More broadly, Nelson has wide-ranging experience in sports marketing & public relations, leadership and management, in college athletics (football, tennis, basketball, crew, softball and golf), professional sports (women’s basketball), and touring championship level junior golf.

Nelson is a graduate of the Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University. His major is in public relations. He minored in sport management.

Shasta, a three year old Siberian Husky rescue, is our office paw-tner. She's an energizing force driven to provide tail wags, frequent walks and inspiring energy. She also proudly wears her WSU Cougars tag, and football jersey, while watching Coug games with her dad. She attended her first boat race Memorial Day weekend, 2024, in Newberg, Oregon, and she loved it.
